Two motorbike engines and a power to weight ratio of over 670bhp per tonne could mean an upset for the big Merc

Can a featherweight kit car really hope to beat a Mercedes-AMG E63 S with more than 600bhp on tap?

The four-wheel drive Merc can manage 0-60mph in less than four seconds - but it does weigh about two tonnes.

The tiny MK kit car weighs about a quarter of that, and has two - yes, two - Kawasaki motorbike engines on its side. With a power to weight ratio of more than 670bhp per tonne, this is one race that could go either way.

We took to the quarter mile to find out which is fastest.
